Who to tell if something doesn't feel right in your sport, club or group?
How to report a concern?

We want your experience in sport and physical activity to be fun and safe.
If there is something worrying you:
- Talk to your coach
- Talk to your Club Welfare Officer
- Talk to an adult you trust
Who are Club Welfare Officers?

Your Club Welfare Officer is an adult at the club who:
- Cares about your wellbeing and safety to make sure you have a positive time when playing sport
- Makes sure everyone is safe
- Will listen to you if you have a worry or concern about yourself or a team mate inside or outside of sport
You might see them around at training or events – and they're always happy to talk.
When should I talk to them?

You can speak to your Welfare Officer if:
- Someone's being mean or bullying you
- You're worried about something at the club (or even outside the club)
- You don't feel safe
- You're unsure about something and just want to talk
How to find out who your Club Welfare Officers are?

- Ask your coach
- Ask your teammates
- Look in your clubhouse if applicable as this may be displayed
- Ask your parents/carers
You can also get in touch with the NSPCC Helpline if you are concerned about anything inside or outside of sport and/or physical activity; help@nspcc.org.uk or call 0808 800 5000 between 10am and 4pm Monday to Friday.
Staying Safe Online

The internet can be fun and helpful — you can play games, watch videos, and talk to friends. But it's also important to stay safe while you're online!
Keep Personal Information Private
Never share things like:
- Your full name
- Your address or school name
- Your phone number
- Passwords
If someone asks you for this info — don't answer and tell a trusted adult right away.
Tell an Adult If Something Feels Wrong
If:
- Someone is being mean
- You see something that makes you uncomfortable
- You get a weird message or image
Coaches, club officials should not message participants directly if under the age of 18.
STOP, close the device if needed, and tell a trusted adult right away.
