Essential training to equip coaches, individuals, staff and volunteers with the knowledge, understanding and skills to provide a safe and supportive environment

Uk Coaching run a variety of courses aimed specifically at improving knowledge about safeguarding children and adults.

They also run courses aimed at Welfare Officers and those in a Position of Trust.

The Community Voluntary Service (CVS) run a safeguarding awareness session aimed at those working or volunteering in small voluntary organisations and community groups to help understand what is meant by safeguarding and what to do if you suspect there is an issue.

The training session is a practical introduction to safeguarding which aims to raise awareness of the issues for voluntary and community groups working with children, or vulnerable adults.

The workshop is suitable for staff and volunteers, including trustees, within organisations to understand that they have a responsibility for safeguarding and to take appropriate action when the need arises.

The NSPCC, the UK's leading child protection charity, run a wide variety of training courses in safeguarding and child protection.

Their courses are designed to help you understand child protection issues that organisations and people working with children can face. They explore different areas relating to child protection, including educational settings, child protection in sport, governor and safeguarding training, online safety and much more.


Annecraft

The Ann Craft Trust, the leading authority in safeguarding adults, runs pioneering training to support organisations to safeguard adults and minimise the risk of harm.

With the belief that everyone has a right to be treated with respect and dignity and everyone deserves to be safe, Ann Craft courses can be accessed online, where you can learn at your own pace, or in person.

Topics include safeguarding adults in sport, building adult safeguarding policies and procedures, prevention of abuse in sport, training for Club Welfare/Safeguarding Officers and much more.
