Safeguarding Adults Week is a national campaign, starting on the 17th of November this year, where organisations come together to raise awareness of important safeguarding issues.
Safeguarding Adults Week 2025 is all about prevention.
The campaign is asking organisations to:
- take a closer look at their approach to prevention and ensure that prevention is embedded in their policies and procedures
- encourage their members, staff and volunteers to have the courage and confidence to act on their instincts and to speak up when something feels wrong
- build resilience by ensuring people within their organisation know their rights and responsibilities and understand what to do the moment they have concerns
Buddle's website has a range of guidance and tools to support you in achieving these goals:
- Information on safeguarding legislation and guidance
- An animation on putting safeguarding into place
- Guidance on how to embed effective safeguarding practices
- Information on safeguarding adults
How to make a safeguarding referral:
Be Active's website provides local contacts and details on how to make a safeguarding referral should you have a concern, plus further tips and advise.
