Nathan Scott, an experienced and enthusiastic triathlete, applied for a Luton Sports & Physical Activity Grant in 2024 in the hope that it would have a significant and positive impact on his triathlon life. And he couldn't have been more right!
The cost of racing, equipment and travel to triathlon events is very expensive. The grant money was used to enter a number of events throughout 2024, to cover the costs of entering races and the costs incurred to travel and be there. These races served as qualifiers for the 2025 World championships in Spain, which he achieved! So, keep an out for Nathan Scott who will be representing Great Britain in Pontevedra in June 2025.
This was invaluable for me, allowing me to do events that I normally wouldn't be able to afford. I would just like to thank the scheme for supporting me, and my dreams. At 44 I will never change the world but I can change "my" world.
Thank you.
