Nadeem Dalvi, Luton's badminton star, has been awarded 'Shot of the Year Award' at the Badminton Europe Congress evening held in Belgrade, Serbia, at the end of March 2025, marking another proud moment in his rapidly developing career.
In a recent interview, the internationally ranked badminton player talked about how funding from LSPAN's Talented Athlete Fund has been vital in helping his career grow.
Nadeem clinched his first major senior tournament win at the South Africa International in Cape Town in 2023 and has since made his first major senior appearance representing England in China. He's won the Bedfordshire Men's title four times, first doing so when he was just 15 in 2018.
The funding from LSPAN has enabled him to attend more tournaments, and subsequently improve his international ranking. He's proud to be a role model for Luton and inspire upcoming generations to play and succeed at badminton.
As for Nadeem, he has his eyes firmly fixed on Commonwealth Games in 2026, the European Individual Championship in 2026, and the Olympics Games in 2028.
