Healthy Luton is a promotional campaign which is collaborative, being lead by Luton Borough Council, working in partnership with Active Luton, Be Active, Food First and Edible Hightown. The campaign incorporates two aspects #LutonLetsGetActive and #LutonLovesGoodFood. The two elements sit under #HealthyLuton and aim to reduce the prevalence of physical inactivity in Luton whilst promoting the benefits of health eating and nutrition.

The campaign will also complement the Luton 2040 vision by helping to reduce health inequalities and improving the quality of lives of our residents.

#LutonLovesGoodFood

#LutonLovesGoodFood highlights the importance of having a healthy balanced diet and promotes low-cost, accessible options for nutritious foods. It encourages residents to explore local produce, make use of community resources, and discover creative ways to cook nourishing dishes that are cost effective. The campaign raises awareness of the benefits of healthy eating on your health and wellbeing.

#LutonLetsGetActive

The #LutonLetsGetActive campaign is significantly inclusive promotes physical activity in the local community by guiding residents to safe opportunities, overcoming barriers, and offering cost-effective options. It offers a wide range of taster sessions to encourage residents to try new activities and explore outdoor activities like the use of parks and greenspaces.
